About me:

I am a 48-year-old mother of 2 (Felix 16 and Becky, 18). I worked in sales for over 20 years and have now moved on to be a full time property developer.

Why I started:

I started Pole dancing back in 2009, with a little bit of encouragement from my daughter. I was finding that my usual gym workouts had become a little bit mundane. I did have a personal trainer but I think I needed a change to spur me on to carry on with exercise. Pole Secrets was a great choice because every lesson is fun and a completely different from the gym.

What pole dance fitness has done for me:

Pole dance fitness has really pushed me onto new levels of fitness. I can definitely notice a different in my strength and physique. My core strength has improved which helps me perform more complex moves on the pole. When I leave each lesson I am always in a good mood, which is why I love exercising.

What I think of Pole Secrets:

I really enjoying training with Pole Secrets, it’s not just the fitness side of things, the social aspect is also really good as it gives me a chance to spend time with my daughter as she trains at the same time as me. The teachers are quite diverse so you can get different type workouts depending on whose teaching you, but I like this as it helps me train in different aspects of Pole dancing.

About me:

I am a 39 year old mother of three boys, (age 12 and 5 year old twins). Prior to having the twins I worked fulltime as an Accountant, and practiced martial arts as a hobby. I am now a Blackbelt in Jujitsu and run my own clubs and teach jujitsu and self defence to children and adults from age 4 upwards.

As a child I was unable to do any sport as I was wheelchair bound for over 3 years due to a back injury. Through choosing my sports carefully I am now fighting fit.

I have been doing pole dance fitness for just over a year now and have never looked back.

Why I started:

I started pole dance fitness due to needing to find a gentler exercise after having a serious operation on my stomach.
As soon as I was given the go ahead I started with Pole Secrets, which was just over a year ago.

What pole dance fitness has done for me:

I have found that pole dance fitness compliments my martial arts brilliantly, and my figure and posture are greatly improved plus my body is more toned. Not only that, but I have overcome my fear of heights and can now climb a ladder with out getting panic attacks! I have also made a alot of new friends through the classes which is wonderful.

What I think of Pole Secrets:

The teachers are all very professional, friendly, encouraging and awe-inspiringly talented. The difference between Pole Secrets classes and other exercise classes I have taken is that I am always looking forward to each class, not dragging myself along because I know I should. It is constantly challenging and really satisfying when you find you can do something that a few weeks before you were thinking would be totally impossible. I have made really good friends with the other ladies in the class and would totally recommend Pole Secrets to anyone looking for an exciting, addictive and really fun way to get fit

About me:

I am a 44 year old, married mother of 2 daughters, one is 19 and one is 6.
I am a qualified Accountant and Tax Adviser and work full time running my own accountancy practice. I also have a Biochemistry degree, and am Treasurer of Maidstone Lions Club, a voluntary charity organisation.
So basically always been a bit of a boffin, and am in the profession considered the most boring in the universe. Until I started Pole Fitness classes I had never done anything remotely sporty apart from the odd aerobics class, and was always the very last one to be picked for team games at school..

Why I started:

My teenage daughter was getting quite unfit, so I Googled to find a excercise/dance class that would appeal to her, and that we could do together. When Pole Secrets came up I knew it would appeal to Holly, but was worried that I might be too old. I emailed to enquire about classes and age restrictions, and was delighted to find out that there are plenty of ladies my age at the classes.
So 9 months ago Holly and I started classes, she has now gone away to Uni, but I have become addicted.

What pole has done for me:

I am definately much fitter and stronger, and now attend other classes such as yoga just to improve my flexibility for the Pole Fitness classes. My figure and posture are improved, my body is more toned, and It makes me feel younger – I now no longer feel the need to buy expensive anti-wrinkle creams, so the classes have paid for themselves!

What I think of Pole Secrets:

The teachers are all very professional, yet very friendly and encouraging, and awe -inspiringly talented. The difference between Pole Secrets classes and other excercise classes I have taken are that I am still looking forward to each class, not dragging myself along because I know I should. It is constantly challenging, and really satisfying when you find you can do something that a few weeks before you were thinking would be totally impossible. I have made really good friends with the other ladies in the class , and would totally recommend Pole Secrets to anyone looking for an exciting, addictive and really fun way to get fit.
