Dance to Fitness?

Most people assume that exercise helps lose those extra few pounds around the waist. We all know this to be true, but what is lying beneath the true meaning of exercise is much deeper than this.

Exercise and aging are linked hand in hand. Without exercise your aging will drastically accelerate which is not something us girls want happening in a hurry.

In 1966 a Medical School based in Dallas took out an experiment on five healthy twenty-year old males. These young men were told to each lay on a bed and relax for three weeks. Now I don’t enjoy men sitting on their behinds for long periods of time, especially in front of the T.V, however, in this case I’ll let them off.

As their intense three weeks of doing nothing, they quickly discovered that their dream was not as perfect as it seemed. At the end they all went away with:

Centenarians: The Secret List to Longevity

Centenarians are those few people in life who manage to make it to their 100th birthday. Needless to say this is a great achievement, but cycling at this age is another story. Well, the story for Jeanne Calment at least. She is the oldest person documented to have ever lived, reaching 122 and half years old.

It's a great way to spend time with my daughter

The Pole Secrets feature student this month is Louise Eperon, a 48-year property developer and mother to Felix, 16 and Becky, 18.

Louise first came to Pole Secrets back in 2006 with a little help from her daughter Becky. She was bored with her monotonous gym routine and was after something a bit more satisfying that would really hit those core muscles. Despite already having a personal trainer, it just wasn’t enough, so Pole Secrets came to the rescue and provided a different kind of workout for Louise, a workout that she still practices to this day.
